A: Weightlifting improves strength, power, endurance, coordination, posture, and bone health, and supports mental focus and confidence.

Training and Technique

Q: What types of training are involved?

Q: How can injuries be prevented?

A: Proper warm-ups and stretching, Correct lifting technique, Gradual weight progression, Adequate rest and recovery

Competitions

Q: How are weightlifting competitions structured?

A: The total of the highest successful snatch + highest successful clean & jerk determines the winner.

Nutrition and Recovery

Q: What diet is recommended for weightlifters?

A: A balanced diet with adequate protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals supports energy, muscle growth, and recovery.

Q: How important is rest?
